Things have been pretty quiet around here as we have been busy these last few months updating and remodeling our home. With the pandemic in full swing we had to slow down and push a few projects back a bit, but I am happy that we were able to at least finish our kids bedrooms. There are minor things missing and a few tweaks but overall the spaces have been transformed and it has been so exciting to see them come together! I will be posting more rooms within the next few weeks but today I wanted to share our youngest daughter’s bedroom. So let’s dive in and take a look.

We will start off with our youngest daughter. She is 7 yrs old and she was probably the most excited to have her room redone. Quite often she acts as my decorator assistant and never holds back on telling me how she feels about any design decision I make in our home. Designing her room was no different. Luckily we were on the same page and together we created the most sweet and magical room any little girl could ask for. Her two biggest requests were a hanging chair as well as a daybed. As her room is the smallest in our home I was happy to give her a daybed instead of a full sized bed. This allows her to have extra space while keeping the room feeling open and airy. One thing I have been going back and for about is adding wallpaper above the wainscoting (which was my original plan) but once I saw the gorgeous white walls I instantly fell in love with them. There is still a chance I will add the wallpaper in the future, but for now the beautiful white walls are here to stay.
